Counselor’s Breakfast, Thurs 9/19!
We will meet in the Media Center to enjoy light refreshments and learn more about the counselors, the role they play in the school, and what is happening this school year for each grade level.
We look forward to seeing familiar faces and introducing new parents to our department!
LEGO League Meeting on Friday 9/13
First LEGO League is a fantastic international robotics and research project competition where students “develop critical-thinking and team-building skills, build STEM self-confidence, and gain valuable perspective on the importance of failure in the learning process.” (More information)
Parental involvement and contribution is expected, and an in-person interview is required – we want to have a great experience for everyone.
We will start our first meeting on Friday, Sept 13 from 310pm-415pm and will meet weekly through January or February when the state-wide competitions begin.

PTSA Committes — Looking for Book Fair Help
Interested in learning more or helping out the PTSA for the 2019-2020 school year? We’d love to welcome new parents. Please look at the committee page and let us know where you’d like to help out.
A particular immediate need are parents to help with the annual Scholastic Book Fair in mid-October. Dr. Massey plays a big role in this activity for our school, but needs some parent support. Please contact us if you’re interested in helping out.
Summer Cluster Meeting: Monday, July 22, Mark Your Calendar!
The summer cluster meeting is on Monday, July 22 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at our very own Cabin John Middle School.
The topics of discussion are both important and broad: the new curriculum roll-out how students of different demographic groups are doing in our cluster schools how MCPS is addressing our facility and enrollment needs expectations about the MCPS Boundary Study New High School Options, Including Changes to the IB programs
