Silver Spring Maker Faire on Sunday, September 20, 2015. A Maker Faire features innovative projects created by inventors, hackers, crafters, artists, and do-it-yourselfers of all kinds. Projects can range from robotics and electronics, to metal-working and larger than life interactive artwork. The goal of the festival is to demonstrate creative and unusual pursuits, in order to inspire others to explore their own curiosity and to make something new and different.
Need volunteers to help with setting up the festival site, and clean-up, as well as help during the festival day with running activities. There are three volunteer shifts from 8:00am-1pm; 10am-3pm; 2:00pm-6:00pm. Volunteers are welcome to work more than one shift. We particularly need assistance for the morning shift for set-up and for break-down. www.makerfairesilverspring.com
