We are pleased to have Anne Maxwell come to Churchill on Monday May 16th at 7pm and we would like invite the entire cluster to hear her speak. Please see attached flyer for details:
Anne Maxwell, LCSW, RPT-S is a psychotherapist who has worked for over 25 years with children who struggle with not fitting in, with being different, and with diagnosis of ADD, ADHD, Autism, Bipolar, Emotional Disturbance, and Mental Illness.
Anne has developed a unique approach for the youth, their parents and family members that allows them to shift from dismay, distress and worry to create a different way of functioning and excelling in their lives. The youth and their families report having peace at home and in school, out in the community while improving grades, attention in class, and making more friends.
In addition to her therapy practice, Anne is the Executive Director of the Access Possibilities School, www.accesspossibilitiesschool.com, which opened in September 2015. Access Possibilities School is a private, online, global school for students from kindergarten through high school. It was created for typical developing kids and kids with diagnosis, those who are “different” and for a variety of reasons, don’t easily fit in or do not excel in their existing schools.
Anne co-authored, with Gary Douglas and Dr. Dain Heer, the international best-selling book, Would You Teach a Fish to Climb a Tree? A Different Take on Kids with ADD, ADHD, OCD and Autism.
