Science Olympiad is a yearly, national tournament that allows students to explore the many facets of science. The competition is team-based, with a huge variety of events, and is a ton of fun! Students get to explore subjects such as astronomy, forensics, environmental science, anatomy & physiology, and more. Students also get creative as they work together on various engineering projects, which include building robots, bridges, and gliders. The competition is held in February, but the team will meet throughout the year to prepare for the events. Science Olympiad truly is a great experience for young students who are eager to explore the many different ways that science touches our world. No previous experience is required, just be ready to learn and have fun!
If students are interested, please come to the after school interest meeting Tuesday October 25th in Mrs. Kumar’s Room 2141 from 3-4pm. Hope to see you there!
