Hello 7 and 8th grade MCPS Parents and Students!
As you prepare to select your classes for next year, please attend the Career Technology Education Road Shows that are described in the flyer below. At these events, you will meet industry leaders who will share the many benefits and job opportunities with the CTE classes that are offered in MCPS, see students practicing their Career trades, and have the opportunity to discuss curriculum offerings and industry certification requirements with teachers. Research by the National Skills Coalition and the Perkins Career and Technical Education Act indicate that fifty-four percent of all job vacancies involved CTE positions.
