Celebrate the arts by participating in the National PTA Reflections Arts Program. This year’s theme is “What is Your Story?”
Students may submit original works of art in one or more of the following categories: Dance Choreography, Literature, Photography, Film Production, Musical Composition and Visual Arts. Entries must include a completed Student Entry Form (attached) and an artist’s statement that explains how your project was inspired by the theme.
Rules for participation and submission are in attached flyers, and further information about the program can be found here
Please read the submission rules carefully as each category has different guidelines.
Entries and completed submission forms must be submitted by Wednesday, November 2, 2016 to the Reflections mailbox in the main office. All entries will be judged by an outside judging panel. All participants will receive recognition for their efforts at a TBD time at Cabin John Middle School. The top three winners will advance to compete at the county level in early December with a national competition culminating in spring 2017.
For questions or further information, please contact Greer Bautz, Art Relfections, Chair, CJMS at [email protected]. Finally, please let Greer know if you plan to enter so that she can track entries and have contact information for follow-up.
