Mental Health Awareness Evening with FreeMind & Athletes for Hope
FreeMind & Athletes for Hope is hosting a community event on Thursday, March 5, from 6–8 PM at Parkland Magnet Middle School! The event offers parents and caregivers an engaging conversation about youth mental health, substance use, and family well-being. Led by mental health experts and athlete advocates, the event provides practical strategies and community resources to strengthen families and reduce stigma.
Stay tuned to find out which professional, and possibly Olympic athletes, will be joining. Free dinner and free childcare offered – Register now for a chance to earn prizes!

JJMCMC Spelling Bee
The Jack and Jill Montgomery County Maryland Chapter (JJMCMC) is inviting students in grades 1 through 12 to participate in the JJMCMC 15th Annual Spelling Bee and Benjamin E. Mays Oratorical Competition. The spelling bee and oratorical competition is a way to support the academic achievement, public speaking, and confidence-building of children and youth grades 1 through 12 in Montgomery County, Maryland.
The spelling bee is for students in grades 1 through 5 and the oratorical competition is for students in grades 6 through 12. Over 120 participants and their families participate annually.

We hope to see you at our next PTSA Meeting on Tuesday, February 10, from 6:30-7:30 pm in the CJMS cafeteria! Whether you’re brand new or a familiar face, everyone is welcome. Come connect with other families, hear updates, and be part of the conversation.
We will be reviewing findings and provide feedback on our National PTA School of Excellence survey, discuss plans for upcoming fundraisers, hear more about upcoming events, and ask your questions to school leadership. Light refreshments will be served. We hope you can join us!

Gregorio’s Restaurant Night – A Delicious Way to Support our CJMS PTSA
Bring the family, invite friends, and let Gregorio’s do the cooking. Join the CJMS community for Restaurant Night at Gregorio’s Trattoria in Cabin John Village and enjoy a delicious meal while giving back to our school.

Get ready for fast breaks, big laughs, and nonstop fun as the Harlem Wizards face off against CJMS staff and other Wootton cluster teachers!
