Parents, thank you so much for the recent donations of shoes and other clothing items to the Health Room. We greatly appreciate any clean and gently used clothing that parents would like to donate for students who need a change of clothing while at school. We especially appreciate sweatpants or leggings in all sizes.
I would also like to let parents know that we have many students that come to the Health Room reporting that they have not eaten breakfast or that they did not bring lunch and they do not want to eat the cafeteria food. Many students also report that they are often asked by their friends to share their food as they did not bring their own from home.
Parents, please check with your child to make sure they have packed a lunch or have food that they are taking to school. It is so important for children at their age to have food in the morning and at lunch to maintain their growth and to keep them able to function well mentally and physically while at school. Please also let them know that they can always get food from the cafeteria even if they have no money in their account. We have water refill stations throughout the school, and they can always come to the health room or cafeteria if they need something.
We want children to have access to food and water while they are at school. If your family is in need of resources to feed your children, you can also complete the form to give them access to the Free and Reduced Meals Program.
